Wheel-thrown stoneware vase with subtle granite texture. The vase is separated from the base so you rotate the ring part to direct the opening in any direction.
Stripes of double sided gel tape are applied where the ring and base meet to create friction between the glossy parts, and to prevent the ring part from tilting and falling over. Extra tapes are included.
Note: in order to fully glaze the ring, it's fired on pointy stilts, leaving one side of the vase with light stilt marks (see 2nd photo)
